E-mail Follow-Up $24.00 |
Microsoft Outlook add-in can monitor sent messages which keep being unanswered. |
E-mail Follow-Up is a Microsoft Outlook add-in that allows (and reminds you!) to send follow-up e-mail messages if a reply has not been received within a specified time-frame. E-mail Follow-Up will watch for messages and show an alert when a reply has not been sent. This Outlook add-in also allows you to send a follow up message using a predefined template to remind the recipient that the reply hasn't been sent. |

E-mail Follow-Up
Now E-mail Follow-Up will follow up the messages left without a reply instead of you, and not only remind you about such messages but offer you to send a Follow-Up template message to remind the user that a reply hasn't been received yet. This Outlook add-in adds two buttons: "Follow-Up" and "Custom" into the toolbar of Message Editor (click the button "New e-mail message").
Using these two buttons to send a message the message can be considered to be under control. In the first case you use the default time waiting settings for the reply and the criteria according to which the program should identify the incoming message as a reply. In the second case you can adjust these settings for each message sent on an individual basis.

Sending a message
Let's imagine you would like to send a message and to trace its "fate" i.e. to make sure that the respondent gave his answer within a certain period of time, otherwise you would possibly have to send him another message. E-mail Follow-Up (EFO) will help you do it saving your efforts and time. All the necessary actions will be performed automatically, the only thing you will have to do is to write a message and click one of two buttons on the Microsoft Outlook message window toolbar: "Follow-Up" or "Custom". The program will send your message and create the related appointment in the calendar. This calendar appointment is the link between the sent message and the further replies. In case the "Follow-Up" button was clicked the general program settings will be used for this calendar appointment. In another case the program will first offer you to select some individual parameters for calendar appointment and then will display the dialog window for this.
While the new incoming messages are received EFO checks each of them whether they correspond to the calendar appointments (actually to the sent before messages). For this the "Activate for..." field value is used in the calendar appointment parameters. This parameter is either taken from the individual settings or in case the individual settings are not specified from the general program settings. If the matches for the current incoming message have been found (there can be some of them) the following thing will happen. The appointments the parameters of which have the "Remove Appointments when response received" option checked will be automatically removed. If after this the list of the related appointments is not empty yet the program will open the received messages list window and add to it the subject and the sender of the new message as well as specify the number of the found matches.
If you haven't received any reply to your message after the specified time EFO will inform you about it and open the Reminder window, from which you will be able to send a Follow-Up to your recipient or do anything else.
Receiving a reminder
The EFO window with reminders is very much alike the standard Microsoft Outlook window and looks like this.
Click the "Dismiss" button to stop displaying reminders for the selected items. You can have the same result if you close the window only in this case the reminders for all list items will be dismissed.
Click the "Send Follow-Up" button to create new messages for the selected list items and to open the standard Microsoft Outlook message windows. It goes like this. First EFO tries simply to forward your initial outgoing message. If it couldn't be found (e.g. it was changed or removed without the possibility of recovering), the program creates a new one. Anyway EFO makes the "To" list (the "To" field in the message window) automatically in the new message. The new message text is created according to the Follow-Up template which can be edited in the general program settings.
There is a context menu for the list items which besides those items which duplicate the "Send Follow-Up", "View Message", "Dismiss" and "Snooze" buttons contains the "Open Item" item which opens the standard Microsoft Outlook window for calendar appointments. Double click the list item or click the "View Message" button to open the outgoing message connected with a calendar appointment in case this message hasn't been changed or removed from the Trash after sending.
